Required Documents To Apply For Son / Daughter Residence Visa
To apply for family sponsorship, the following documents must be prepared and submitted based on the sponsor’s employment sector and family situation:
The sponsor’s original Emirates ID.
Copies of the sponsor’s Emirates ID, residence visa, and passport.
A valid copy of the applicant’s passport (must be valid for at least six months).
One recent digital photo of the applicant, taken at a professional studio.
The applicant’s birth certificate, attested by the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA) and translated into Arabic.
Depending on the sponsor's employment status, provide the following:
For investors or partners: a copy of the trade license, Memorandum of Association (MOA), and establishment card. A security deposit of AED 3,000 is required.
For those working in the private sector: a labour contract stamped by the Ministry, with a minimum salary of AED 4,000.
For Free Zone employees: an Arabic salary certificate issued by the respective Free Zone authority, showing a salary of at least AED 4,000.
For government or semi-government employees: an Arabic salary certificate from the employer indicating a salary of AED 4,000 or above.
Additional Requirements and Conditions:
A payment of AED 283.15 is applicable if the sponsor does not already have an active sponsorship file.
If requested by the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs (GDRFA), a copy of the mother’s visa must be submitted.
For sponsoring a daughter above 18 years of age, a declaration letter from the sponsor confirming her unmarried status is required.
For sponsoring a son above 18, an official study letter from the educational institution must be provided.
If the mother is the sponsor: a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the father certified by the Dubai Court, or a death certificate (MOFA-attested) if the father is deceased.
In the case of divorce, attested divorce papers along with legal custody documents of the child must be provided.
